This piece was composed for a Cajon ensemble of 10 players, with 4 players in Group A (cajon), 4 players in Group B (cajon), and 2 players in Group C (one playing drum sticks on side of cajon or as clave, and the other playing egg shakers tapping cajon face).
It can be modified to be played with smaller or larger groups. Students should be at a pre- intermediate/intermediate level. Duration is approximately three minutes.
The piece developed from an exploration of playing paradiddles on the cajon and was first performed by cajon students from Sangre Espanola Dance School at the Learn Cajon Launch in 2011.
